From vocal coaching and musical theatre singing exams to acting through song, performance opportunities and our annual showcases, we provide supportive, industry-focused training that helps every performer take their next step.
Curtain Up MT is run by Samantha Cooper and was created to give young performers a place to train, perform and belong.
We believe great musical theatre training should develop more than just a great singing voice. It should help young performers become confident storytellers and thoughtful actors.
Our training combines vocal technique with acting, storytelling and performance, creating an environment where students can challenge themselves while still feeling supported. Singing lessons take place in Samantha's home, offering a warm, personal setting for one-to-one training.
Whether a student simply loves performing or has ambitions of professional training and a career in the industry, we meet them where they are and help them work towards where they want to be. We love giving our performers opportunities to learn from and connect with the wider musical theatre industry. From workshops and conversations to special guests and familiar West End faces, we want our students to feel inspired by the world they're working towards.
